Responsibility & corporate policy

As a fourth-generation family business, we see ourselves as having a particular responsibility to preserve and further develop the acquired heritage of values, traditions and expertise for future generations. For example, we have also deliberately opted for certification in accordance with the RJC COP standard and have been a certified member since 2021.

We see our home as a privilege. It has shaped us; it is the basis for identity, strength and inspiration. Our business policy is based on generally applicable ethical values and principles, in particular integrity, and respect for human dignity.

As a manufacturer of high-quality diamond and coloured gemstone jewellery, we are aware of our responsibility along the entire value chain. Our self-image in our daily work therefore includes absolute respect for recognized principles of business ethics, such as compliance with human rights, respect for the cultures, customs and customs of our employees and business partners, and compliance with existing laws and regulations.

Mindful action

Responsible supply chains

Our day-to-day activities are based on trust. Internally and externally. We work with suppliers with whom we maintain a long-standing, sometimes decades-long business relationship. These are companies that accept and support our Code of Conduct in writing and also act in accordance with these responsible principles.

Our supply chain policy can be found at this link view.

For inquiries, concerns or complaints, we have set up a reporting office that all stakeholders, both internal and external, can contact: compliance@kriegernet.com.

Information on the complaint procedure can be found over here

precious metals

Our suppliers of precious metals include certified members of the Responsible Jewellery Council and thus guarantee compliance with the high requirements of the RJC standard along the entire supply chain.

Over 90% of gold comes from the processing of secondary material. It is C02 neutral and is obtained through an efficient process that uses renewable energy and effective technical equipment. Compared to primary fine gold extraction from mines, this “refining” uses only a small amount of C02 and is therefore much more environmentally friendly.

Diamonds and coloured gemstones

Buying a diamond is a matter of trust. Our suppliers confirm in writing that only ethically sourced diamonds are used and that they comply with the Kimberley Process Certification System and the World Diamond Council Guarantee System.
In addition, our gemstone suppliers commit in writing to comply with ethical business practices, as described in the Code of Conduct.

Nature and environment

We take our responsibility for nature and the environment seriously. That is why we look at our resource requirements and energy consumption. The aim is to achieve the best possible efficiency under conditions that are as environmentally and climate-friendly as possible. We are looking for optimization within our processes to reduce environmental impact.
We obtain most of our workshop supplies and services from the region. This means short transport routes and therefore a lower environmental impact. It strengthens local trade and the region. Waste and hazardous substances are professionally disposed of and, where possible, returned to recycling in the circular economy.

Responsible Jewellery Council RJC

The RJC is a non-profit standards and certification organization that sets standards to promote responsible ethical, human rights, social and environmental practices across the supply chain for gold, silver, platinum group metal, diamond and colored gemstone jewelry.
The RJC has developed a benchmark standard for the jewelry supply chain and credible mechanisms for verifying responsible business practices and auditing by third parties.

As an RJC member, we are committed to operating our business in accordance with the RJC Code of Conduct. We are committed to integrating ethical, human rights, social and environmental considerations into our daily operations, business planning activities, and decision-making processes.

We conduct annual reviews to assess the ongoing suitability and appropriateness of these business practices to achieve the Directive and implement improvements to address any gaps. At specified intervals, we subject ourselves to an external audit. It validates our credibility and commitment to responsible business practices in the jewelry supply chain.
